Noshaba Naqvi shares her experience of Sir Syed Kazim Ali’s CSS essay structure taught in his CSS & PMS English Essay and Precis Session, covering how to decode a topic, build an outline, write introductions and body paragraphs, and develop arguments properly.
My name is Noshaba Naqvi. I have an MPhil in Chemistry, and I started my CSS preparation with a clear intention to build my writing skills from the basics. I took Sir Kazim Ali’s English Essay session in mid-2024, and I believe the essay structure I learned from him became the foundation of my essay preparation.

My Experience of Sir Kazim Ali’s CSS Essay Structure Course
The session was quite extensive, spanning around three to four months, but what made it particularly useful was the level of detail with which Sir explained the structure of an essay. He did not simply teach us how to write an essay; he explained the complete process of developing one, from understanding the topic to reaching the conclusion.
How to Decode a CSS Essay Topic and Build an Outline
One of the most useful parts was learning how to decode an essay topic, understand what it is actually asking, and narrow it down to a focused and manageable direction. Sir then explained different ways of constructing an outline—through phrases, sentences, or clauses—and how to logically connect the outline with the essay’s introduction and body.
Writing a CSS Essay Introduction: Hook, Background and Thesis
The introduction was taught in a very systematic manner. We learned how to begin with a hook, provide relevant background, gradually move towards the central discussion, incorporate relevant points from the outline, and finally develop a clear thesis statement. Sir Kazim Ali also explained different approaches to writing an introduction, including the general-to-specific and specific-to-general approaches, as well as the placement and relationship of the thesis and antithesis.
CSS Essay Body Paragraphs and Conclusion
Similarly, the structure of body paragraphs was explained step by step. We learned how to develop a clear topic sentence, follow it with supporting arguments, substantiate those arguments with examples and evidence, and maintain a logical flow throughout the paragraph. The same attention to structure was given to the conclusion, including how to revisit the thesis and bring the discussion to a coherent close.
Sir also taught us how to properly press and develop an argument rather than merely stating points. This was particularly helpful because it showed me how a CSS essay should be analytical and argumentative rather than simply descriptive.
Why This CSS Essay Structure Framework Was Enough for Me
For me, the biggest advantage of the session was that the structure was so detailed and comprehensive that I did not feel the need to study essay structure from anyone else afterwards. The framework I learned from Sir was sufficient for me and gave me a clear understanding of how to approach an essay independently.
Final Verdict on the CSS Essay Structure Session
Overall, I found Sir Kazim Ali’s essay-structure sessions extremely productive. The course gave me a structured way of thinking about essays and, more importantly, taught me how to break down a broad topic and develop it logically from the outline to the final conclusion. For someone who wants to understand the mechanics and structure of CSS essays in depth, I found these sessions genuinely valuable.
